Thanks for taking time to answer my query. An independent engineer changed the brushes for me - it involved taking the motor out as well as the pump!! 15 sobs for the brushes and 35 sobs labour - and it took him over an hour!

im not familiar with bosch. however most brushes are installed in a similar way. it may be easier to remove the motor first, simply unbolt it. look for the 2 wires actually going into the motor they will be opposite each other and connect to the brushes. the brushes should simply unclip using a screwdriver and then just slide the new ones into place. they will either click into place or be held by some sort of clasp. hope this helps.
