Mend Briggs & Stratton Lawn Mower Engine Repair

My kid overfilled the oil in my 6.75 hp briggs. it now doesn't run.Help?

I can Prime it and it fires right off.
I have replaced the Intake "Vacuum" tube, but still no luck.
Any other suggestions.

Briggs & Stratton Garden Tools, Lawn Mowers Lawn Mower Engine Repair

Have you removed the excess oil?
If not, then remove it and see if it will start now.
If not, then check the spark plug to see if it`s oiled up.
If so , clean it up in petrol then let it dry ( or better still , replace it with a new plug)
