Mend Lights Turn Signals

Trailer wireing?

My trailer is wired but when the lights are on an I step on the brakes the lights go out on the trailer but if the lights are off on the trailer and I step on the brakes the brake lights work. turn signals work when lights are on the only problem seems to be the brake lights. Hope you can help .Thanks in advance. Ted

If your brake lights are working correctly when sideligts are switched off then it can't be a bad earth connection - trying changing the stop and tail light bulb individually

normally related to a bad earth connection.clean pins in the plug and socket and make sure connections are tight and good
