ford ka steering belt?

how do i change a power steering belt on a ford ka r reg. my belt has just come off, any help would be great thanks mary

Hi Kat & Gemma, the power steering pump is mounted on the top of the engine at the left end as you look under the bonnet, the belt takes a snaking route around various pulleys this is why they are often called serpentine belts, if you have snapped the belt the alternator warning light would be "ON" have you checked the resevoir for fluid for the power steering, if you not sure go to Halfords and they will check it for you and then sell you the correct oil to top it up
