cassette player not working citroen picasso 2000?

hi i have just tried to fit an aftermarket cd player to my picaso this did not work so put origional radio cassette back in. Now no power to unit at all any ideas please, all answers greatly appreciated, thankyou

Just the obvious really.... If the after market one didn`t work either , it looks as though you`ve either blown the fuse or wired it up incorrectly.............. Take the radio out and wire it up to a battery(or battery charger) and speaker on your workbench. This will prove whether it`s the radio or the car wiring. If the radio is OK , check the car wiring using a multimeter or test lamp.( Battery and Earth ...plus speaker wiring.
