how do i recode remote 97 mondeo key?

my remote for my vacxhall vectra gls has broken have been sold a new one but have been told that it will cost me £90 to get it re-set!!! My central locking still doesn't work with key key fob have got my car pass any ideas please.

Hi Murt had the same problem a while ago tried the ignition method mentioned but did'nt work for me but all I done was disconnect the car battery and reconnect it and the fob worked. Bear in mind thet you will need your radio code if you are going to try this!

hi Murt, this is the method to re-sync your key fob,
switch ign to position ll 4 times in 3 seconds
remove key
LED (clock) illuminates
press the lock,unlock or boot release button doesn't matter
clock LED will flash to confirm correct programming
wait 20 sec's
switch ign on (not start)
wait 20 sec's switch off
try key fob
