How can I fix my AEG OKO-LAVAMAT 74620?

Hi,

I have a AEG OKO-LAVAMAT 74620, and the problem I have at the moment, is that the underwire from a bra seems to have gone through the holes in the drum, and now it makes the most horrendous noise when spinning - it reminds me a bit of playing cards rattling along the spokes of a bike, but then a lot faster and metallic sounding.

I had a look near the bottom, where coins etc gather, but (obviously) it's not there, nor can I see or reach the wire.

Before I start taking things apart, I figured I'd look online and ended up here. I hope someone here can help..

Hmmz, not quite sure how I can easily reply to an answer, but:

Gary: Thanks for that.

By now I removed the lid, but that didn't really help (so far). Removed the door seal (and isn't that just a bugger to put back on it, with the metal ring and spring attached), but no success.

I have the back open, and I can see the housing of the drum, as well as the big pipe/hose at the bottom of that. However, the ring that clamps it onto the drum is fastened with a nut & bolt, but in such a way that I can't really get to it..

I'm sure that, with some persistence, I can undo that, but I don't know if it's easy to put back together again after that... Any idea how I can get to it more easily?

Thanks for that, but how do I get to the bottom of the drum?

I tried taking the top of, but apart from 2 screws I didn't see anything off hand...

try removing the pipe from the bottom of the drum and slowly rotate the drum by hand to see if you can grab it. if this doesnt work try removing the door seal and try grabbing it that way.
