how can I fix Flymo compact 350 belt?

I replaced the belt on mine today. Bolt out and blade plus fan disk off. Under that are four screws to come out, then one at the front, one in line with that and two others, so 8 in all.

Ease the edge tabs in starting in a corner and working round the edge. It comes out completely once all tabs are freed.

I put the belt over the motor drive and over the blade/fan drive but it seems loose to me and does not drive the fan/blade under pressure. As the old belt snapped and was pulled clear I have no idea what the trick is to keeping tension on it. If anyone knows please tell us all.

btw you need to strip off all screws from underneath

let me know when you find out :) i bought a belt put it on it kept slipping off, i was told i needed a belt retainer disc, so i bought one, now the fan is catching on the motor side. Its like it pulling to hard, like the belt is just a tad too short but two check from the supplier says thats the correct belt
