Mend Fisher and Paykel PW55 Washing Machine Burning Smell And

Fisher and Paykel washing machine pride 5.5 powers off mid cycle?

We have had our Fisher and Paykel washing machine for about ten years with no problems. Yesterday it stopped mid cycle and all the indicator lights on the control panel went out. It would not restart when I tried, so I switched it off from the wall switch. today I switched it on and it started again and ran for a few minutes before stopping once again, all panel indicator lights went off when it stopped. My wife thinks she could smell a slight burning smell as it stopped.
