Mend Zanussi F1045 Washing Machine Front Load

what else could be the problem?

zanusi f 1045 waching machine -front load,first the programme knob kept doing it's own thing.
cleaned pump and all hoses removed a sock .plugged machine back in water will fill and drain and nothing else.does not run the cycle,drum turns with your hand and belt seems to be fine.
what else could be the problem??

motor brushes have you checked them?.did the sock jam the drum up?.if it has then maybe the motor control has failed
