Mend Rover 416 Wont Start

Why wont my Rover start?

Rover 416 1998 petrol, owned for three weeks starts first time. Driving down M1 yesterday it stopped... felt like out of petrol although gauge showed some in. towed to Services put 20 litres in. Still wont start. Towed back home. on level ground no start. Plug doesnt appear to have spark and is dry. Dist and rotor arm look good and petrol pump sounds as if its priming...any ideas?

i would suggest puttin sum new plugs in it and then check for spark if still no luck the try get hold of sum new leads if no luck after tht then check tht the fuel filter isnt blocked because if it has been ran down low on petrol it will sumtimes blocked the fuel filter up with crap
