Mend McCulloch T250 Mcculloch Strimmer Head

My McCulloch T250 is not rotating?

The strimmer head will not rotate. I have taken the head apart and tried to re-thread the line, however, the head will not rotate.

I no longer have the manual so cannot see if anything is missing that would make the head rotate.

This sounds just like the problem I have with my Sovereign - the strimmer head is not connecting. So what can I do about it, short of replacing the whole thing down stream of the motor?

The strimmer head connects to the engine via a flexible metal shaft - sort of a thick spring cable really. See that it turns, isn't snapped, and fully engaged at both ends - ie the engine end first, followed by the strimmer head.
