Firstly you will get more replies placing this in the CARS section. I was browsing the forum fault finding re-repairs to my caravan.
However a starters you can try.
Anything from a cracked distributor cover to a breakdown on one high tension lead or the coil lead. Could also be a faulty plug or rotor arm in the distributor. If dis cap cracked you will see a black line tracking down from one of the segments.
Buy one of the neon connectors that fit the spark plug. Plug on each plug in turn and the lead to that plug on to the neon tester and watch for the neon light pulsating steady pulsate plug and lead ok broken pulsating indicates faulty lead or plug. That's all info I can give going by my experience of same on older cars.
