Calvin, I'm having same trouble. On looking inside mine, I found that rear rubber "tire" which fits on the clutch to that rear take up reel was broke due to age. If you look on inside of projector, on the right side of take up wheel at the 2 and 4 o'clock positions there are two stationary rubber/plastic guides on steel pins screwed to projector body. On left side of take up wheel at 9 o'clock position is that rubber "tire" attached to the shaft with "clutch" and spring on it. This "tire" fits between those two large black outer rollers. My "tire" at least broke off in two pieces so I could visually see how it's basically supposed to look. It's hard to say if its actually rubber or just a soft plastic. I can't find parts anywhere! However, I'm going to try fashioning one myself either out of a rubber stopper like you use for test tubes or those plastic washers you use to repair water faucets. Whether ot not I can get it installed is another question! But it looks like I that clutch portion seperates from that driveshaft right at that silver collar with the set screw in it. Wish me luck.
