how do i change the belt on a dyson dc04 vaccum cleaner?

Hi, to access the belt you will need to take off the base plate ,this is quite easy to do you will find 3 screws on the plate, undo these and the plate will come off then you will be able to see the broken belt and where it go's.This next part is quite tricky, you need to disengage the brush roll from the side's of machine ,take note of which way they go back,then feed your new belt through the gap at the drive shaft, then put the brush roll through the belt after you have fed the belt through the base plate,this can be quite hard but you will get there ,then refix the plate and you shoud be ok.hope this help's.
