When the engine starts it runs for about 10 seconds and then stops. Seams to be a very rich mixture as the spark plug fouls up all the time which maybe casuing it. I then clean that re prime the engine and it will statr first time. But only run for around 10 seconds before cutting out.
Replace the diaphragm that sits between the carb and the tank. Classic fault and (almost) guaranteed fix. Takes about 30 mins, and costs pennies.

Is the choke stuck on? The engine will chuff black smoke if it is....there is a good chance that the carburettor needs a clean though. Have a look at the air cleaner element first before you dive in.
