Mend Indesit Fill Water Empties

does not fill with water. If I pour water in manually, then start a cycle,?

indesit dishwasher does not fill with water.
If I pour water in manually, then start a cycle, dishwasher empties, then just "hums" but does not intake water.
Would appreciate any advice or link to service repair manual etc

its very easy to test,turn water off remove the hose from machine hold it into a basin turn water on if you have water there,the valve in the machine is faulty,not rocket science is it

just because the tap top turns on doesn't mean the valve underneath has!!!!
