Mend Honeywell Accenta/Optima User Code Changed

Changing the user code?

Is there any way of re-booting the system as I changed the user code from the factory setting and it has never worked. I know that I followed the instructions but the engineer is saying that I must have punched in a wrong number and there was nothing he could do other than replace the whole box. It is a new Accenta/Optima system.
