UPVC DOOR LOCK?

can you help me? on my double glazed door the one of the Hooks will not go back into the door, I can push it back in & it works so a few openings ,is there ant thing thay I can do? I have sprayed the locks with WD40 but this had no effect please can you get back to me to say its a cheap job that I can do myself Regards Ivor

can you change the door lock on a pvc door so when you shut the door at locks from outside so you need a key to open it again.

im trying to remove the door lock. ive taken out the lockstrip screw but the cylinder wont come out. what can i do.

if your door lock dosn't work correctly when its in open possition then your your lockstrip has failed,the only way to rectify this is to replace the lockstrip,you will need to write down all the numbers and the make off lockstrip and order 1 thats same,if you havn't got a supplier in your area you can order online at many places like northwest hardware,to replace you will need to take handles off then remove cylinder by taking screw out of lockstrip that is level with cylinder then take all remaining screws out of lockstrip before it will come out then replace with new.hope this helps
