Mend Ford Escort Seat Drivers

How do I fix my seat and keep it from moving back and forth?

I have a K Reg(1993) Ford Escort and the driver's seat is unstable and I can't figure out why! The bolts are all tightened but it's moving back and forth whilst on the tracks...in other words very wobbly!

sounds like its not locking into seat runners- may be a spring broken somewhere or may be siezed. i think on this year of van that you can remove seat lower cushion, then remove bolts holding frame to base,so that you can gain access to runners to check your problem.
