Fer Falcon 2 Combi boiler losing pressure and overflowing?

A friend has a Fer Falcon 2 Combi boiler which is constantly losing pressure and overflowing. The low pressure light also comes on as it drops to 2 bar pressure. Is this caused by a pressure release device failure? Any advice would be appreciated. She is a single mum on a tight budget and can't afford much. I'm fairly competent at plumbing and electrics so I'm hoping it's a problem I can fix.

add on if this persists after that check expansion vessel 4 correct pressure by using a tyre pressure gauge if it registers 0 pump up with foot pump to about 0.7bar if u lose pressure again u need a new expansion vessel

hi with out looking it sounds like it needs a new pressure relief valve, is the water discharging through the pressure relief pipework!i would try turning the relief valve when system is cold discharge water for about 30 seconds in case any debris is on the seating of the valve.re pressurize system to one and a half bar and vent rads.
