Accenta G4 alarm - with LCD RKP?

I have just installed an Accenta G4 with remote keypad in my home.

the alarm works great - except for one thing.

There are 3 programs in the Accenta - when you input your code normally program 1 is used - which is fine.

I have set up program 2 for a part - set application (for use at night with upstairs zones omitted).
When I enter my code on the keypad and then try to select program 2 - or program 3 nothing happens - it just continues with the exit tone for program 1.

I have done everything as per the manual!
any ideas?
