Mend Dometic RM4271 Type Working Electric

Caravan fridge?

My fridge is a RM4271, type C40/110. Stopped working, whilst using on electric power. I heard this could be due to a broken thermo cuppling, I replaced this part and still not working. I am aware the Thermo cuppling works the gas side of the fridge, but it's the electric side that has gone off. I have power to electric switches on fridge but still not woking IE: Not getting cold. Can anybody help??

I'm afraid you have replaced the wrong part. You are quite correct to believe that a thermocouple is part of the gas system and therefore totaly seperate to the 240v system. The part you need to replace is the 240v element. Sorry to hear you had bad advise there. Any reputable caravan service center can supply and fit this for you for a small charge.
