Mend Hotpoint Remove Plastic Removing

How do I remove a hotpoint drum from the plastic drum?

I recently aquired from the dump, a Hotpoint washing machine, with the aim of removing the drum and having a pretty stainless steel fire for my deck. Unfortunately, around the metal drum is a substantial plastic drum which seems to be held on by the drive shaft, and I have no clue how to separate them! Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

Hotpoint Household Appliances, Washing Machines Remove Plastic Removing

The plastic tub is in 2 sections. If it's not screwed together, then it's a sealed unit that's been heat welded at the factory and you'll need to cut it away to get to the metal drum inside. Hope this helps

take off pulley wheel then drop sharft on concrete it will drop out after a few atemps.
