Mend Veritas R8 Board Alarm

Veritas R8 lost power to control board?

My power was shorted out from a bulb blowing and now the alarm control panel will not accept any codes. The alarm box on the front of the house is flashing but no sound. The control panel is lit dimly from behind the keys but none of the buttons do anything so I cannot reset the alarm which is the normal procedure following a power cut.

Any ideas?

You will need to power the system down again inc battery and repower on mains first. You probably will need a new battery too if it's older than 4 or 5 years
