Since cleaning out the plastic connection between the fan at the top of the machine & the drum at the bottom (the drying was taking a very long time and the plastic connector was clogged with fluff) the washing now creases rather badly (and also seems hot).
This is before drying (the dryer now also seems to be quite hot but dries very well).
A little research suggests the thermostat or the control unit.
Any suggestions?

you say the washing is hot before you use the dryer cycle, then you have connected the hot and cold fill hoses the wrong way round after doing last repair

washer dryers are know for creasing as the drum size is so small when compared to a dedicated dryer.are you observing max load weights on washer and dryer programs and i would reduce the time you are drying if they are that hot and dry.i dont think stats will make a difference to problem you have but stranger things have happened
