Mend Hotpoint WD645 Washing Machine Drain Pump

My Hotpoint washer WD645 is flashing H20??

I have a hotpoint washer and it has started to flash h20?
It fills up with too much water and wont spin or drain so i have had to use the "pump out" cycle to drain the water away. Is there a way i can fix this myself or is it a job for an engineer? please help
