Mend singer 95 Sewing Machine Manual Repair

singer treadle model # 95. serial # AG044209 Not stitching properly?

singer treadle model # 95 serial # AG044209. Cleaned, oiled. Will not stitch properly. I believe problem is in tension. I have no manuel and do not know what it should look like to see if it is put together properly. I use the treadle to sew with not just for looks! Mine was stolen and my daughter replaced it with this one. PLEASE HELP ME!!!???

Hello Dianna,
You really will have to fiddle about with the tension to get it right, there is no easy way on that model, make sure you have the bobbin case tension so the thread just pulls through with some resistence, if you have that right you can concentrate on the top tension.
