HIya,
I had exactly the same issue with the same unit. Occured on 29th Feb 08. After lots of searching and nearly buying a new unit - I found the answer. And Nick is exactly right.
The answer is:
- Unplug all cables. Leave it a some time. I left it about half hour.
- Plug back in the screen and power. (Do NOT plug the GPS lead in yet)
- It will reboot - poss to software version 2.10 and centre on Greenwich, London.
- Leave the power on and plug in the GPS.
- Leave the power on and wait for 5-10mins
- The GPS will find your location - and off you go - factory ready!
Perfect. Wierd thing to happen. Another forum said that a shop mentioned a satellite failed due to the leap year and that's what caused it. Not sure myself, sounds like dodgy coding in the Application to me. Anyhow, its sorted.
Thank guys - good luck
