Seen this on numerous occasions. Thanks to poor design/manufacture, the pcb pads holding the high tension transformer (used for generating ignition pulse) start developing dry joints through repetitive vibration of PCB. Solution? Take PCB out, remove transformer, clean up PCB and apply health dollop of hot met glue before replcing and soldering. The hot melt glue both holds transformer down and helps isolate against future vibration. It's a common fault, job takes 40 minutes from start to finish and you'll have no more problems in the future.
