hotpoint wf320 problems.. spin and door lock?

... think its trying to commit suicide piece by piece..

.. first problem occurs when you start a cycle, sometimes its fine and gets on with the job other times it fills up and then stops and the door lock light just flashes and the rest go off, this is the second machine iv'e had thats done this, got rid of the first.. the same model.. problems occurring more and more often..

.. today it just refused to start, all the lights come on when you start a wash except the door lock.. and the doors free to open..

.. next steps a sledge hammer unless anyones got a more technical solution :) would really appreciate your help... thanks
