With most of them your usually just looking for a resisitance, 12-20 or something, some manuals have it listed (not many though)

Easier just to go and get one (very cheap) and plug it onto the wire to test.
If its a wet pocket termister, dont worry about attaching it, just plug it on and try firing the boiler, if it fires, problem solved, now drain down and replace.....
