Why is my scooter so slow?

im not to sure about the sky but on most 50cc bikes there is what looks like a little metal block about 6cm x 4cm which is a restrictor on the exhaust pipe cut this off and either weld or clamp shut the hole where this was or you can buy lightweight rollers
