Anti Flood Reset JLDWS1204?

Error code 30 - Anti Flood Triggered has appeared on our John Lewis Dishwasher - JLDWS1204. Can it be reset or do we just let the pump keep running until it resets itself?

Any help much appreciated and thanks in advance.

I have John Lewis dishwasher. It is rebranded AEG so I watched this video to figure out the fix
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jgebTrf-ao&ab_channel=MikkoAuvinen
Basically if you unscrew bottom panel and you will see tray that its filled with dirty water. There is a buoy device that stops machine from working if it detects water in that tray. You just have to drain the water from the tray with the sponge and machine will start working. However, if this tray gets filled all the time that means that you have a leak somewhere that keeps filling in this tray.

Just tried the gentle rocking and tipping advice whilst the hubbie turned in for the night and...it worked a treat!! Can't wait to tell him in the morning that I fixed our old dishwasher all by myself Thanks to all the tippers!

The John Lewis machines were basically AEG. Try searching this forum with AEG instead of John Lewis and there is more info on the .30 fault

I answered yesterday saying that the fix had worked for me, but sadly it doesn't last. For instance on the quick wash program, the machine worked for 22 mins, then the fault re-occured. On rocking the machine, it reset again, but only for another 12 minutes before cutting out again. Has anyone any other ideas? Thanks

Just had the same fault code appear on our machine and was not relishing spending £400+ on a new one, so thanks to all concerned!

Well, I was very sceptical, but the sideways rocking worked for me too. Thanks for the tip (I know great pun)!

Just took the "tipping" advice and hey presto mine is working again too!

I also found that the 'fault' disappeared after I gently rocked the machine. Not sure what had happened - it's as if a float switch had become stuck and that the rocking was enough to free it. Only hopes the fix lasts.

Thanks for the advice - so far I have saved the costs of an engineer (who may have simply done the same!)

thank you so much for help. I pulled my machine out and it was just that the outlet hose had become unattached. was sure this was all the problem was as too much of a coincidence that two things had gone wrong at the same time. Re attached but warning kept coming on. Anyhow - thanks to the advice here I tilted and leaned to empty the b ottom out and hey poncho - all better!

The problem is caused by an internal leak which triggers a leak sensor. You will need to find the cause of the leak, repair and the machine will reset automatically.

The leak on my machine was caused by the outer water manifold to the upper spray arm coming away from the inner manifold.

Call the number in the back of your instruction manual to order replacement at £23.87 inc. VAT and postage.

possibly not the recommended way of doing things - but tipping the dishwasher on its side and then front to drain the excess water away does the trick. It'll save you a call-out charge!!
