After reading all these threads and having the same problem (water not draining out drum and the lock button not unlocking) I drained the water from the flexible pipe into a large bucket. I then cleaned the filter after using a brick under the washing machine to raise it so I could drain remaining water in to a shallow tub!.. I then blew into flexible pipe and checked the drum to make sure that was clean. ( to which I found a lollipop stick). I put washer on a spin and rinse cycle and hey bobs ya uncle! All fixed!

we cleaned the filter and the pipe (coming from the drum) where we found £7:80 in loose change, 2 broken lollipop sticks and a lot of gunge! Now in the process of putting it all back together! Fingers crossed! Perhaps we'll get clean clothes now !

Thank you guys.your answers really helped.after reading different suggests,i checked the hose that leads to the pipe for any blockage and behold, there were so many dirts that blocked the passage making it dificult for the water to drain out.now i have cleared the dirt and the machine is working perfectly well.

followed your advice and found 28 pence and a bra wire ..but a word of warning the plastic ball should be in the filter ..i nearly threw it out

I disconnected the wastepipe and let the water drain into a bowl under gravity and then blew into the pipe and that seemed to cure the problem. nice that something so simple cured the problem and saved me some pennies

An F05 code indicates a blockage. I've just resolved mine. It wasn't nearly as complicated as dismantling your machine (as I feared from the previous posts) The water wasn't draining out of the machine because the waste water pipe was blocked. I undid the washing machne waste pipe, from the U bend under the kitchen sink, and sure enough the nozzle was gunked up (from waste going down the kitchen sink). I scooped out what I could with a kitchen knife and set the machine to the "pump out" setting which fired out the rest of the gunk and excess water, into a waiting washing up basin. Now if only I'd realised that sooner, before I thought I had to manually drain the machines drum and flooded the kitchen, I'd be a happy bunny.

I had the same problem and looking in different websites and here I gathered the problem should be blockage, being freezing cold outside I thought I'd better check the outlet. You are right, it was frozen. So it is worth checking in cold times. I used some hot water and opened up the pipe and Voila.

Remove the top cover of the machine,(power off) and disconnect the flexible hoses from the dispenser. Check if theyre blocked. The dispenser itself can be seperated - generally held together with plastic clips. Clean out any crud or hardened detergent.
Fabric conditioner is taken from the detergent tray by siphon action. Most likely flexible siphon pipe is blocked. Remove machine top, identify the pipe coming from the softener compartment, detach and clean.

Manual wouldnt help, its a service code.
Means the pressure switch is stuck on. a round item about 3 inches across with several wires connected, it sits under the top cover. Its an air operated switch which tells the machine water has reached the correct level. Disconnect the thin rubber pipe from the switch and blow down through it to clear any blockage. Switch itself may be faulty but its more likely the pipe is blocked.
Also check the filter - generally located behind a panel at the foot of the machine. Some are obvious like little square hatches and some are hidden behind the trim panel at the foot of the machine. Once panel is removed the filter will be seen. Its a circular fitting which generally unscrews in an anticlockwise direction.
