Hi Will, Boy your in luck! it just so happened that a qualified motorcycle mechanic who has a genuine Honda manual for your model came across this site whilst looking for information to fix his Dyson!!! Ok, you dont have to take the kickstart or circlip off, put them back on as its safer, the problem you have, like most scooters of this design is that the casing is stuck on its two locating dowels, they are located behind lugs that stick out between the two casing mounting bolt holes on the bottom right of the casing and again between the two upper and lower very far right bolt holes (looking at the left side on the scooter) you can first try spraying some wd40 on the area of the dowels and try hitting the casing with a mallet in the direction it wants to come off, you may also be able to get a long screwdriver or rod to locate on a part of the casing as close to the dowels as possible from the r/h side of the scooter and then try a few hits with a steel hammer, but be careful not to damage anything, the final thing if still no luck is to heat the area of the dowels carefully until its very hot and then try a few more mallet/hammer blows, use a gas torch for this or maybe a heat gun, when you go to put the casing back on, clean up the dowels and their holes and put some copper grease on them to prevent this happening again, if you need any more info/help just ask, cheers Grant.
