How can I replace the seat tilt mechanism on my Ford Fiesta 3 dr 2004?
The cable operating the seat tilt mechanism on the driver's seat appears to come away from the plastic lever on the top of the seat. It is still connected to the mechanism at the foot of the seat but the cable has no tension. I can see one cable attached to the plastic lever but there are two (or a loop) attached at the passenger side.
i am also suffering for same problme my car is FORD FIESTA SEAT 53 plates . cheers raky

If you push a screwdriver underneath (between the fabric and the plastic)either side of the lever at the top of the seat then plastic lever can be pulled from the top of the seat. If your lucky the lever has broken ,if not the plastic part which is attached to the cables is probably broken. I think this and the cable are all one piece,and you'll have to replace the cable mechanism. The lever on the top is about £14 from Fords.

hi i have the same problem, the seat does not fold. how have you managed to see the cables? did you take out the seat?
