How can I change the lightbulb in my microwave oven?

With most microwaves you take off the outer cover. Unplug the oven first before removing the cover. Look for a no. of fixing screws around the bottom edges and rear edges of the cover that secure it to the chassis. You will then be able to access the bulb. BUT BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT TOUCH ANY UNINSULATED TERMINALS ! For some time after unplugging the unit, it retains a high voltage charge that takes a while to dissipate.
