how do i locate and change a themostat?

sin ce asking this question i have found the stat and cured problem. i did this by unclipping the stat from the rear of oven, taking the side of the oven off and pulling stat out so it would reach the gas ring. i then turned oven on and worked the stat using the ring to heat up fast then immerse in cold water to cool down, at the same time using the oven settings to test flame increase and decrease. saved me a few bob and time. hope this helps someone with same problem. tedhal
