Mend Hot Water Back

How to get hot water back?

Live in an apartment with electric only, no gas. Have a boiler for hot water but not radiators as we have wall heaters instead.
Was having a shower and hot water ran out. How do i get the hot water back? I have switched on the boost switch on the boiler but it doesn't seem to be doing anything as there is no noise coming from it.
What can i do to get hot water back?
