Mend Zanussi 1050 Machine Cleaned Compartment

Pleasw what causes what seems to be soap suds to be retained in machine?

I have residue in the machine although I cleaned the soap drawer and compartment and soaked bleach in the drum. Please what is the cause of the powdery residue in the empty machine. The powdery residue deposited on clothing during a wash. My machine is Zanussi 1050.

do a maintenance wash.put it on the highest temperature program and let it do a whole cycle.you may need to do several to flush machine if it hasn't been done before.the above will have to be done throughout the life of the machine because we are all trying to do wash cycle at lower and lower temperatures.

Have you cleaned out the filter - I had this problem and once I cleaned the filter out it went away. My filter was not very visible and was hidden away behind a panel at the bottom of the washing machine.
