Heavy cable from battery to one large terminal on solenoid. Heavy cable from other large terminal on solenoid to starter. Small wire from ignition switch to small terminal on solenoid. If there are 2 small terminals on solenoid, ground the other one. (There should be battery voltage present in the small wire when switch is turned to 'start'. If not, your switch is either faylty or wired wrong). If still nothing and there are 2 small solenoid terminals, reverse them & try again. If still nothing, solenoid is dead. Check starter by using a jump lead to temporarily connect starter terminal with positive battery terminal. CAREFUL not to short anything!
