How to remove pinch bolt from mondeo strut?

I need to change the 2 front shockers on my MK2 Mondeo but have been told the pinch bolts are hard to undo and may snap. Is the an easy way to get them out or will i need to get my drill ready. Any help would be great.

hi, make sure you give them a good soaking with wd this should sort it out, but i have had them break my self but due to not giving them a good soaking
