My Zanussi spin cycle not working on low or high spin. At the end of the wash the clothes had spun but not effectively. Upon trying to spin again the drum failed to turn. The drum does turn freely by hand. We have tried doing a final spin without any clothes in the machine, without success.
check filter 1st.sounds like motor brushes have worn out.tip machine backwards and you will see motor.remove motor brushes and check if they are worn away.a new brush would be about 4cm.if they are short pull the carbon bit out gentally (stretch it a bit)and refit brushes.if it now spins replace brushes straight away as they could damage the motor commutator and hopefully will work ok once again.
