i have a hotpoint ultima extra wma62. it stopped mid cycle and now just beeps and door open light flashes, the door is actually open even though the machine is half full of water. is this just the door catch needs replacing or could it be more serious
check the harnace at base of m/c from motor plug to lower counter wieght poss broken wire

could be the door lock, but seeing as it happened mid cycle it could be a short circuit motor which has damaged the pcb. this would give a flashing door lock light fault.
