It would appear that owning a Z1 is a bit of a gamble, when they are ok it's a brilliant little camera but it seems that they can develop faults for no apparent reasons. In my case every shot has "venetion blind" lines across the pic. I have only taken 44 shots with this camera and although it was only just out of the year makers gurantee I could not get the retailers to engender any interest and this is not good enough. My advice to you is to take advice from your local Trading standards office, they are brilliant and will give you the whole picture and supply you with the relevant paper work. In return give the office a progress report as this is the easiest way they can keep tabs on individual retailers. Do not give up, it should not be a lucky draw as to what one you buy and insist tht a Digital camera of that value should last longer than a year, as it surely should,
