Mend Ariston AIB16 Machine Times

How can I fix my Ariston Advantage AIB16 washing machine?

The door lock symbol on my Ariston Advantage AIB16 is off but the door won't open. At times it also comes up with DOOR on the information screen. During a wash at times it comes up with an F5 and F12 fault what are these? How can these problems be rectified?

check door interlock for fault, to get at this make sure all pwer is turned of, open the door, the rubber door seal has a wire band around the edge of the door seal you will see this by pulling back the rubber on the outside rim remove the band, now on the right side pull back the door seal untill you can see the door interlock remove the 2 screws that secure the door lock and replace with new door interlock.put back together
