you need to buy a wireless adapter for the rear of the xbox (ebay good place) then the 360 will pickup the wireless network in your home from any room you put it in ok!
if you do not have a wireless network in your home then you have to set one up first ok!

I was thinking along the same lines and I came up with the idea of trying to use a wireless usb connection that laptops can use for wifi. Just a thought might not work although in theory it should.
