if the rinses lights are flashing then its to do with the motor drive either the brushes are worn or the motor itself is faulty or the power electronic board is faulty id check the motor brushes first as is the cheapest to replace.

Ah Roger...... Should have checked here first. Youve cost yourself a pile of dough. The light sequence refers to a fault with the motor brushes, Theyre graphite blocks which transfer mains power to the copper segments of the motor. v. cheap parts and easy to replace. Look at the copper segments to check for burning or pitting. If the copper segments are burnt or damaged its a replacement motor or a replacement armature if you can source one.
