how can i fix my hotpoint aquarius 1100 drum(wm63)?

assuming machine filling /draining and programmer advancing most likely that the brushes have worn out in the motor, common problem on hotpoints but easy enough to change. but if water is remaining in drum assume pipe/filter blockage or pump failure. (Machine must drain/pump water off before trying to spin)
1 Clean filter/ check pump (ignore if machine drains off)
2 Replace motor brushes
